On Wednesday, the State Law Library held a reception to celebrate the volunteers who staff the Appeals Self-Help Clinic.
Chief Justice Gildea addressed the crowd at the State Law Library to thank the attorney and librarian volunteers of the Appeals Self-Help Clinic, which started in January 2016. Attendees included clinic volunteers, and members of the Minnesota Supreme Court and Minnesota Court of Appeals.
The brief advice clinic helps self-represented litigants understand the rules and procedures the appellate courts require. The clinic was created through a partnership with the Appellate Practice Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota State Law Library.
